I’m going to be leading a workshop in literary translation from Arabic to English on 21 Feb as part of Manchester in Translation – a new event hosted by The University of Manchester and Comma Press, sponsored by Multilingual Manchester.
I gave this interview for the Comma Press as publicity, where I talk about routes into literary translation and forms of professional support.
If you translate from Chinese, Arabic or Polish – or would like to give it a try – do book your place at these free sessions. Helen Wang is leading the Chinese workshop and Antonia Lloyd-J the Polish. Details and links to booking page on the Comma Press website.
There’s also going to be a talk about literary translation by Daniel Hahn and panel discussion with Daniel Hahn, Antonia Lloyd-Jones, Stefan Tobler and Ra Page, but these are already fully booked.
Hope to see you there!
